1 Timothy 2:1 “I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people”

We are delighted to be a National Friend of Pray for Schools and to be able to join with many others involved in schoolswork to promote this initiative and join in events such as Pray for Schools Fortnight.

We share the aim of Pray for Schools;

‘Every school in the UK a prayed-for school. That’s the vision of Pray for Schools: to mobilise Christians to support their school communities through prayer.’

https://www.prayforschools.org/

That is why we support school prayer groups, encourage churches to be praying for their local schools and take part in the annual Pray for Schools Fortnight.

This year, our Pray for Schools Fortnight runs from 10 May to 24 May.

In light of the social distancing restrictions, our usual activities cannot happen, but we are still committed to equipping and encouraging as many people as possible to pray for their local school communities. We will be distributing resources to churches and our supporters to encourage and equip you to be praying for your local schools and our work.

We would like to see every school being prayed for regularly, not just for 2 weeks every year, but this fortnight gives us an opportunity to remind the wider Christian community of the value of supporting their local school communities through prayer and to have a time of focussed prayer for local schools.

Please join with us in this year’s Pray for Schools Fortnight. We would love to have as many Christians as possible praying for their local school communities.

If you would like to receive our Pray for Schools Fortnight pray card to help you pray for local schools and our work daily, you can request one via our contact us page
