About us – our history

crossteach has been a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) since Dec 2021, but we had been operating as a Charitable Trust before that (from 2001). Our work has continued, uninterrupted, since September 2001.

The work of crossteach started in Tunbridge Wells, with a group of christians convinced there was a need for this work. The work started with one employee, a small group of trustees and some keen supporters. crossteach later started work in the Leamington Spa and Warwick area and more schools began benefitting from the services of crossteach workers. The work then expanded to include North London (Camden and Islington). The most recent crossteach team to be established is based in Nottingham. Our desire to share and grow continues and our teams now cover a wider area - Sevenoaks, Tower Hamlets and more of Nottingham.

Since those first days in Tunbridge Wells, the work has expanded and grown and we are thankful to every worker, trustee, church and supporter who has been part of making this possible. Most of all, we want to give glory to God for all that he has provided since calling those first people to this work.
